Coasting: Styling reworked jeans with a blazer, western-inspired booties, and a baker boy cap

Woohoo!!  Robin and I have made up our minds - we're going on a road trip this summer!!

It won't be a month-long cross-country drive or anything like that...but we've been talking for a while about visiting Portland, Oregon (neither of us has ever been there before) and then taking "the long way home" all along the coast from Cannon Beach back to Vancouver.

Five or six days should be plenty of time for us to see the sights; and it's also about the maximum we could probably even manage, considering the extremely limited amount of space we have in our Solstice for luggage...or supplies of any kind!!  We certainly won't be packing beach chairs or a picnic basket; I'll be lucky if there's room for an extra pair of jeans once we have that ragtop down and tucked into the trunk!!  ðŸ˜œ

There's no doubt that it'll be an exercise in minimalism!!  But right now - as I look out our living room window at the seemingly endless rain - I can't think of anything more divine that cruising along a picturesque coastline in our little convertible...with the sun shining in our faces and warm wind blowing through our hair!!

(P.S. My baker boy cap??  It's definitely coming with me!!)

  1. Love this adorable look! What fabulous jeans and that baker boy hat? The cutest on you! Yes, you need a pair of pink/orange sunnies! I love Portland! They have really cool vintage shops there! Thanks so much for linking up! Oh and yes, the hubby is on the mend! (Had his gall bladder out.)

    1. Vintage shops?? You just said the magic words, dearest Dawn...although if I DO go shopping, I'm not quite sure there'd be room in our car to get my new purchases home, ha ha!! XOXO

  4. Oregon is awesome! I get to go twice this summer--end of June for a conference in Portland, then a visit with my daughter and son in law to be, down in Corvallis. Then back to Corvallis a meeting the later for the wedding! So exciting! Maybe we'll run into each other. That would be awesome!

    1. Any suggestions on the best (i.e. the driest!) time to travel there, dear Linda?? Of course the weather is always a crap shoot, but Robin and I are obviously hoping to take full advantage of our convertible for the trip!! ;)
