A gypsy wind

My style inspiration for today?? This chunky, beaded necklace!!

My mom-in-law and her husband travel a lot…and she always brings back all kinds of fun, unique jewellery for me from her various ports of call (I know, I’m kind of spoiled!!)

I thought that the size and shape of this particular piece deserved a bit of an “empty canvas” to show it off properly; so this drapey, oatmeal-coloured sweater seemed like the perfect choice. I’ve layered it over my Denim&Supply plaid flannel dress; which suddenly became a maxi skirt!!

And finally, my trusty Aldo booties were just the thing for finishing off this look…”gypset” by proxy!!

Thanks, Anett!! I'm sure my mother-in-law would have told me where she found the necklace, but I'm embarrassed to say that I can't remember!! I will have to ask her again!!

She sometimes worries that I won't like what she brings me…but I have to say, she rarely gets it wrong!! And that dress was a bit of an investment piece, but I'm so glad I decided to get it; the "patchwork" effect of the fabric is so unique!!
