Buckle up

I haven’t worn my leopard coat in a while (you saw last in my “Spotted” post)…so I decided I would build today’s outfit around it!!

Do you ever do that??  Start creating your look for the day with that one single “must wear” piece as your inspiration??  Or do your looks usually come together as more of a total package??

Of course (no matter what the day may bring) we all really have to start somewhere!!  But there are definitely times when I can picture my whole outfit – Boom! – just like that; and other times when I want to focus on a particular pair of shoes, or a skirt, or a coat, and then I’ll put together my look from there.

This time, my “little black dress” and black tights combination felt like the ideal canvas to let my faux-fur topper shine.  And for a bit of edgy interest…I opted for these almost dangerously pointed, buckled and stilettoed booties!!  Add a spiky bracelet and necklace, and I am ready, set, go!!

And now, dear readers, it’s your turn…how and where do you find your outfit inspiration??

Love this rocker chic look! Awesome coat! My outfits start all different ways … as a mood, built around one item, or some idea I got from blogs and Instagram!

I've always loved fashion magazines for outfit ideas, Dawn!! But I have to admit, my blog – and this whole little community that I've become a member of! – is keeping me so busy, I barely have time to read them nowadays!!

    Hi Monika!

Catching up on your wonderful style!
I get my inspiration from the Japanese street style blogs, i do love them so!
They are colorful, edgy, whymsy and eclectic.
I like to check fashion magazines as well – I found great inspiration lately in the French Glamour Mag – It was all about layering, polka dots and stripes-
    Take care
