More like it

So I’m back home in Vancouver now…and way happier with the weather, thank you very much!!

Is it raining?? Yeah…but at least I don’t have to bundle up like the Michelin Man; and after a week in nothing but woolly sweaters and a big coat buttoned up to my chin, I am really happy to have this much more “spring forward” outfit to show you!!

I decided to experiment just a bit by mixing some plaid (the same shirt you saw in my “Plaid tie” post) with a little snake print (in the form of these rockstar-worthy skinny jeans!) – and I was pleasantly surprised with the results; they look pretty good together, don’t you think?!

My versatile faux-fur vest was plenty warm enough as an extra layer today; and my seventies-style boots and roomy bag – both in a rich caramel colour – bring some cohesiveness to my finished look!!

Okay…your turn now!!  Have you ever randomly thrown together some pieces and been unexpectedly thrilled by the combination??  Do tell!!

Thank you, thank you dearest Dawn!! I think my husband might not quite be in agreement with the "adorable" part, though…more like "pain-in-the-a**" because I'm always needing him to take photos!! (But truthfully, he's very supportive; and I'm so grateful for his help!!)

Yay, welcome back!! Glad to know our weather is better than TO I was starting to get a little whiny about the rain. But milder temps? I'll take it! And what a winning combo. Love this pattern mix! As for my own spontaneous mixes? I once mixed florals & gingham for spring and it turned out super pretty! xoxo

Trust me, Veronika…that Polar vortex is not to be messed with!! And your floral-and-gingham mix sounds like the perfect boho-flavoured combination; a style that I know you and I are both fans of!! 🙂

And they are as stretchy as leggings, dear Jodi…which is always a bonus, don't you think?! 😉
