Pink shoe casualty

Well, dear readers…this is certainly not a post that I had planned to be writing today!

With the sun shining and my toes freshly pedicured, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to showcase another pair of the shoes that I brought home with me from Toronto!!  I had styled these gorgeous, fuchsia Jessica Simpson pumps with my snake-print skinnies; I was wearing the same jeans the day my mom and I went shoe-shopping together, and she loved the combination of hot pink and animal print as much as I did!!

So – my husband and I were on our way back from an afternoon Starbucks date, and stopped just a few blocks from home for my outfit photo shoot…

And I tripped.

And fell.

And broke my right foot in four places.

Needless to say, I will not be showing off any new shoes – or probably outfits, for that matter! – for the next four to six weeks; and I’m not ashamed to tell you that I am absolutely heartbroken.  I do have two posts in the works for looks that my hubby and I photographed pre-accident…but there is definitely going to be a bit of a “dry spell” coming up!!

Please, bear with me during my recovery; I will try to bring something of interest for you to enjoy in the interim (no better time to experiment, right?!)…and I will most definitely continue to “visit” all of you!!

Ohh dear I'm so sorry! I hope you get better soon. High heels are dangerous, aren't they? 🙁 Living in Italy with all the cobblestones and terrible road conditions I risk breaking my ankles every day… but I've been lucky so far (knock on wood). Keep in touch! xx

Gives new meaning to suffering for the sake of fashion, doesn't it, Anett?! But now there's nothing I can do except wait it out…and try to come up with some outfits that work with a purple cast!! Be careful on those cobblestones, my dear!! XO

Hi Sheree!! Well, it was actually a little more like: tripping, wobbling, stumbling, wobbling, stumbling…and finally falling!! I was devastated that I'd have to give up posting outfits for over a month; but with my unexpected "vacation" days, I've had a lot of time to think…and I've decided that I'm going to try to continue showing off my looks, cast and all!! That said, a different approach might be in order, and I really liked how you used just a single photo for a really focused post!! Thank you so much for visiting…and for your words of support!! XO
