Wearing a scarf in spring

I have a small collection of scarves, but I rarely wear them…somehow, I almost always seem to prefer the look of a more open neckline.

Still, that doesn’t mean I don’t occasionally feel that a scarf would make the ideal finishing touch; and today is one of those days!!  I love the way the stripes in the scarf pick up the same pattern in my little denim skirt (you saw it last in my “Railroaded” post)…and right now, I’m also hoping that by adding an extra adornment of my choice, it might create a small “distraction” from my other, less-than-attractive accessory (ha ha!!)

And my white tank-top here is one of my favourites; it has a faux-leather front – you know how much I love that kind of detail! – which gives everything I pair it was just the perfect bit of edge.  All in all, just my kind of look!!

Dear Monika, this is really a perfect jeanslook. With this little nice cardigan and this white top it seems very romantic. From which fabric is the top? I looks very solid and soft at the same time. As you know, I really love scarfs and foulards and so I like your "scarf-styling" very much. Enjoy your week, lovely Lady. Greetings to canada, Conny xoxo

Hello, dearest Conny!! The cardi you mention is actually just a "shrug"…a perfect way to get a little extra coverage and warmth for the arms; and its knit texture is such a nice contrast to the faux-leather tank!! Hoping you have a lovely week, too!! XO

Oh indeed, love a good scarf!! I'm the same as you though usually prefer an open neckline. Although, I've become quite the fan of top knots + pretty scarves… and yours is gorgeous!! xoxo

And it's super-soft, too…which certainly adds to the appeal, dear Veronika!! I may not wear a scarf very often, but when I do, I suddenly don't want to take it off!! 🙂

Of course, I purposely co-ordinated this look to go with the cast, dear Anett!! 😉 And I can totally imagine wearing a scarf year-round in Italy…very "Riviera-esque!!" XO
