So cool

What do you think, dear readers; do I maybe look a little…worried? anxious?…in these pictures?!

Not at all, right??  Cool as the proverbial cucumber!! You’d never guess that only a couple of metres away, the air was hissing out of one of our car’s tires at a rather alarming rate!!  Thankfully, my husband and I managed our little photo shoot and our return home …all before we went totally flat!!

My gauzy white sundress (from Forever 21) definitely helped my “keeping it chill” vibe; it was finally really warm for a change – no layering required!! Sandals would have been the obvious footwear choice; but aside from my self-consciousness about my leg, I decided that I liked the way my seventies-inspired Jessica Simpson boots added a bit of visual weight to the dress’s breezy feel.

And the amber pendant that I’ve been wearing rather regularly lately (you saw it last in my “Monkey see…monkey do” post!) is another lovely souvenir from my mom-in-law’s travels; I feel like it strikes the perfect balance between sleek and bohemian… just the finishing touch this summery look needed!!

(P.S. Happy Independence Day to all my American readers!!)

I wouldn't have thought to put the boots with this dress, but it's total boho chic perfection! Love! And the necklace goes perfectly as well. You have an amazing eye, Monika. And thank goodness you guys made it home safe and sound! Thanks for the July 4th wishes!

Hope you enjoyed your long-weekend, dearest Dawn!! And as you may have noticed, I'm doing boots very often right now…and surprising myself as well with how good they can look paired with even the most feminine pieces!! XO

All I can say is wow πŸ˜€ You really managed to put on a serene expression while you tire was going flat? Respect πŸ˜€ We once did a shoot while waiting for the truck that was supposed pull our car out of the mud we drove it into… I just deleted that post a few days ago, it came out horrible πŸ˜€ You look fantastic in your boho chic outfit!

I doubt I would have looked so relaxed if we had been stranded on the side of the freeway somewhere, dearest Anett!! Sorry to hear about your own misadventure…it's so true that it's VERY hard to get good photos when you're feeling anxious; the stress always shows, doesn't it?! XOXO
