Trial and error

I by-passed this adorable cropped sweatshirt on the racks at my favourite store (Winners!) several times before I finally decided to take it to the changing room…and of course, it ended up coming home with me!!

Don’t you find the whole “try it, you might like it” concept kind of interesting??  When we’re babies, everything is a new experience, a new sensation, a new taste; and since it’s all in the hands of our caregivers, we don’t have much of a say in the matter!!

But as we mature, trying – or not trying – something becomes our own decision to make; and some of us are most definitely bigger risk takers that others!! From exotic foods, to thrill-seeking adventures, to risky career moves…we all have different levels of tolerance when it comes to trying something new.

Personal style is a pretty safe platform for some experimentation, though; don’t you agree??  It’s nothing permanent, after all; nor does it hurt…with the possible exception of a “killer” pair of heels!  And as for “taste??”  Last I heard, it’s got more to do with our mouths than our eyes anyways!!  πŸ˜‰

We'd certainly make a dangerous team, wouldn't we?! πŸ˜€ But at least we get to share our shopping "trophies" with each other via our respective blogs, dearest Dawn…and that's a lot of fun, too!! XOXO

This is such a great reminder, Monika! I often forget to try something new when shopping and tend to stick to my tried & tested. But this is making me think I need to shake things up… and I adore that sweatshirt on you!! xoxo

I think we ALL need to remind ourselves periodically to give something new or different a chance, dear Veronika!! We tend to crave the comfort of familiarity…but change can bring all kinds of good things into our lives!! πŸ™‚

Thank you, dear Audrey!! I'm glad I decided to try on the sweatshirt…it's a nice switch-up from the camis and tanks that I usually gravitate towards!! πŸ™‚

This top is great! I agree, experimenting with fashion isn't painful and we should all remember that, including me πŸ™‚ We often play it safe when it comes to our clothes, but trying something new often results in cool new finds like this one!

Most of us are such creatures of habit, aren't we, dearest Anett?! I think we're scared of stepping "outside the box" because we don't want to be disappointed…but it also greatly reduces the possibility of achieving new triumphs!! By all means, try out that unconventional silhouette or bold colour…it might turn out to be your very best look yet!! πŸ˜‰
