Mad for plaid

If you are one of my regular readers (and of course I hope you are!) then you’re certainly aware of my ongoing love-affair with stripes!!

But lately there’s been another pattern that has been capturing more and more of my attention…can you guess what it is?!

This Denim & Supply Ralph Lauren dress isn’t new…you’ve seen it before waaay back in my “Highland fling” and “A gypsy wind” posts.  But today is the first time I’m really showing it off in its entirety!!  The slip dress style is actually quite summery (Vancouver’s warm weather seems determined to hang on for now!) but the plaid flannel fabric makes it feel a tiny bit autumn-appropriate, too.

These fab suede cowboy boots, on the other hand, are purely for warm, sunny weather…I am not risking them outside once our rainy season starts!!

I just bought ANOTHER plaid piece that I'm dying to wear, dearest Veronika…but I'm going to try to pace myself!! ;D And I'm also going to thank YOU once more…you've become a mentor (as well as a friend!) for this still "newbie" blogger, and I appreciate it more than words can say!! XOXO

XOXO

Such a cute dress! I love the mix of plaids and the fact that you wore it with those boots makes it so unique and fantastic!

Thanks so much, Rebecca…and thank you for visiting, too!! I've already been to your blog to check out your wonderfully unique style as well; I got a message that my comment was "successfully added" but I didn't see it show up. I hope you received it…and I hope to "see" you again soon!!

I can't take any credit for the mixed patterns of this dress – since it came that way! – but I WILL thank you for the visit!! Please come again!! 🙂

I like that this has a different chequered pattern! Love xxx

I think this dress is one of those examples of something that maybe shouldn't work (all those different patterns together!) but somehow manages to look fab!! Glad you like it too, dear Zoe!! XO

I guess it's my small concession to the fact that autumn is coming, dearest Anett!! 😉

Thank you, dearest Maggie!! I have since invested in a plaid maxi-skirt, as well…no such thing as too much plaid, right?! 😉
