Day by day

As much as it sometimes feels like it might…the world doesn’t actually stop revolving when we have challenges in our lives to contend with; the laundry still needs to be done, and groceries still have to be stocked up.

My husband and I are continuing to do everything we can to nurse our last little ferret.  One of us needs to be at home to hand-feed him every two to three hours because he’s not eating on his own; so we only have small windows of opportunity to go out together…and this afternoon it was to take care of that grocery shopping that I mentioned.

Of course, we also took a few moments for an outfit photoshoot!  Do you recognize the plaid shirt-dress that I picked up from Anthropologie at the end of the summer?  I’d been thinking of trying it as a long vest for a while now…and was totally inspired by how my blogger friend Debbie (Fashion Fairy Dust) worked her red plaid duster into a cool, glam-grunge look a few weeks ago.

And yes, my smile might be coming back…little by little.  I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that Badger’s health does, too.

Love the dress as vest…and those boots! Thanks so much for the shoutout. It's nice to be appreciated! I so hope you're little guy keeps improving. And yes, life does keep going and eventually without even realizing it, your loss will hurt a little less.

Right now, we need Badger just as much as he needs us, dearest Veronika…I'm so grateful that all our tender loving care seems to be having some positive results. And I'm also really pleased that you like my dress-as-vest ensemble…it's nice to hear that my personal style "mojo" hasn't left the building during the past couple of weeks, haha!! ;D
