Turning the page

A new year always feels a bit like a crisp new notebook, don’t you think??  The pages are empty – fresh and clean – but sooo full of the promise!!

I’m not really a “resolutions” kind of girl…but at the same time, today it’s hard not to think about plans for the coming twelve months.  What will I do differently??  Do I have any goals I’d like to achieve??  Where, figuratively at least, would I like to be a year from now??

One thing is for sure; this blog of mine is definitely something I’m still seeing in my future.  What started as a creative way of journalling my outfit and shopping adventures has grown into much, much more…an ongoing photography project that my husband and I can share; an outlet for my love of writing; and an unexpectedly wonderful way of connecting with so many fabulous fellow fashionistas!!

Adieu 2014…you certainly presented some challenges.  And welcome 2015;  I’m really looking forward to filling those empty pages!!  Have a Happy New Year, dear readers!!

Happy 2015, dear Monika! Yes, we've both had our challenges in 2014, but we're both looking to the new year with lots of hope and promise! Okay, now about that cape … WOW! So cool! Was that a Xmas gift? And of course the skirt is super chic too! And I never did get a comment from you on my plaid round-up. Something must've happened. If you have the time, I'd love to hear what you think of it!

I guess you could say that this cape was a Christmas gift to myself, dearest Dawn!! πŸ˜‰ I'd been checking out ponchos for a little while – I knew one would go well with my frequently bohemian aesthetic! – but when I saw this red tweed beauty, it was game over!! As you can see, I'm making it work…I enjoy doing a slightly "mod" look every once in a while, too!! P.S. Bummer about my comment on your blog; am I the only one who finds that they disappear occasionally?? Of COURSE I will resubmit…I was SO honoured to be included in your list!! XOXO

I for one never make resolutions I never seem to stick with them. I do agree with the open book, excited to see what will happen in 2015!

Your outfit is just amazing, I swear they get better with every post πŸ™‚ That sweater is just so lovely, what beautiful colors. What a great pattern on you shirt & that white skirt is just so pretty on you πŸ™‚

You girls are so sweet…saying that my outfits get better with every post is just about the nicest compliment I could ever hope to receive!! Thank you VERY much!! And so far, so good with Badger; his improvements are small, but he seems to be making steady progress…yippee!! Here's hoping that you're both off to a wonderful start for 2015, as well!! XOXO

The red is definitely a little "outside the box" for me, dear Rebecca…but I just fell in love with this tailored cape the instant I saw it!! It's really lovely to have you visit again; thanks SO much…and best wishes for the New Year to you and your family as well!! XO

Wonderful outfit – such a gorgeous cape and a great sort of pattern mix with the geometric top! I again feel like I can relate to what you are saying about blogging – I too see it as a collaborative project with my husband, my working on writing and having great fun connecting with wonderful women all around the world! Glad that I found your blog (thanks to Joni) at the very end of 2014. πŸ™‚ xxx

I'm so glad we found each other, dearest Natalia!! πŸ™‚ Blogging is actually a bigger project than I initially imagined it would be (it's way more that putting together outfits and taking some photos, isn't it?) but it's also sooo much more fulfilling!! XOXO
