Style 3-Play: Moto Jacket Look One

It’s recently come to my attention that I’ve been neglecting my moto jacket a little lately…which creates the ideal opportunity for another one of my “Style 3-Play” features!!

I’m not exactly sure why I haven’t been reaching for this edgy beauty to finish off more of my looks this fall and winter; after all, it adds that perfect bit of rockerish attitude that I simple love to include in virtually every one of my outfit combinations!!

Too many fabulous pieces – and not enough days off to wear them all! – might be part of the problem, I suppose…but it’s a “problem” that I’m quite honestly very happy to have.  When your closet is full of nothing but favourites, putting together a look you like is generally pretty easy!!

Today I’ve added some colour and pattern to my black jacket and accessories with this cognac wool mini-skirt, and yellow and maroon plaid shirt.  But please stay tuned…I promise that Wednesday’s combination will tell a whole different story!!

Just love the jacket and purse paired together! This look is so edgy and I love it. That skirt is just lovely, that plaid shirt is so nice as well. Great look as always!

I have a lot of fave pieces I just love mix and matching things 😀

I originally styled this look with my shirt tucked INTO the skirt, dearest Kelsey and Kenecha…but then I decided I preferred this more relaxed, "untucked" version!! And the moto jacket and studded bag?! Definitely made for each other!! 😉

Thank you, dearest Elsie!! This outfit actually started with an entirely different skirt and top combination before it "evolved" to the finished look you see here…it's always so much fun to see where my fashion mood takes me!! XOXO

Of COURSE I want to come join you, dearest Dawn…but I'm embarrassed to say that I'm not quite sure how a "link up" works!! Just tell me what to do, though, and I'll be there!! XOXO

Sorry I just saw this! Just go to my latest post and scroll to the bottom where it says "LINK" and it will ask you for your the link to your post (just the web address) and your name and email and then you can pick a picture of yourself to add too. So sorry, Dawn!! I arrived at your link-up party a little late…but I DID make it!! Couldn't have been easier to do, either; I definitely won't be nervous the next time around!! 😉

I love these earthy colors! They are not easy to style, but you pulled them off brilliantly and you look very stylish! On a side note, I wouldn't have thought that it could be this warm in Canada in January… Good for you! 🙂

We've had a wonderfully mild winter so far here in Vancouver, dearest Anett…and I couldn't be happier about it!! And by combining this warm brown skirt with a black jacket, tights and boots, I think I've proved once again how well the two colours really do play together!! XOXO

I LOVE the colour and pattern here!! Plus, love that you're styling your motto jacket more! I've kind of forgotten about mine, but judging by your gorgeous looks… just might be time to take mine out of hiding!! Beautiful insp, Mon!! xo

I honestly can't recall seeing you in a moto, dearest Veronika…so yes!! Time to take yours out for a spin!! Especially since our weather seems to be playing along so nicely right now…not too cold and not too wet!! 🙂

I love saturated colors very much, and your skirt is a beauty! I don't go to movies very often, but when I do, I like to dress up a little. In general, here in North America most of people are extremely casual about their appearance – comfort is everything. Where I am from, people are much dressier. I have to say that the comfort part of American attitude is very appealing to me. I love to wear comfortable shoes and clothes. But those things absolutely can be stylish as well. I also don't quite get PJs in public places. 🙂 xxx

That's exactly the thing, dearest Natalia…comfort and style do not have to be mutually exclusive!! Sure, it might require a little more effort to find pieces that are both easy-to-wear AND stylish; but that's an effort that some of us are happily willing to make, am I right?! 😉
