Under the weather

Well, dear readers, it’s pretty rare that I get sick (I’ll catch a cold only about once every two years!)…but this time it got me good!!  I’ve been in bed for thirty-six hours straight!!

Thankfully, my hubby and I had an opportunity to take some outfit photos before I started feeling so miserable; and – fingers crossed! – I expect to be back in fighting form to share some fresh new looks with you again next week!!

Laying around in my pyjamas is sooo not my thing…after all, I even made the effort to get “done up” every day when I was home with my broken foot last spring!!  But when you’re too weak and wobbly to manage a trip to the kitchen for a glass of water??  That’s when getting dressed is definitely not on the agenda!!

What this has made me realize is that I’ve never really thought about a plan B for my blog; I’ve always been about the outfit posts…I love, love, LOVE outfit posts!!  But what if I can’t put one together for some reason??  Is there anything that you’d be just as happy to see here instead??  I’m open to suggestions!!

You look totally fresh and funky here and it's amazing! So sorry to hear that you're under the weather. Just relax and take care of yourself! I LOVE the outfits you put together. You have such a great eye! But I would tune in to hear a personal story about you or your take or opinion on any fashion trend!

Luckily I've recuperated enough to feel ready to take some outfit photos again, dearest Dawn…so never fear!! New looks are on their way for next week!! πŸ˜‰

I hope you feel better soon!! Love the pattern play in this outfit, and these jeans are just awesome, such a beautiful floral print. I like that your outfits are often a bit edgy. I can easily imagine seeing you on the streets – your outfits are alive and tell stories.

As for another topics for your blog, well, just write what inspires you, what brings you joy, what brings fire, passion out of you. Or something that touches you deeply. Share whatever you love and care about – I think you'll find that people love reading it because it comes from your heart. πŸ™‚ xxx

I'm still a little tired – and coughing up a storm! – but other than that, I'm feeling pretty good again, dearest Natalia!! So my "what if" scenario has been postponed for the time being, and I can continue to let my outfit combinations be the star of the show…which is, after all, the reason I started my blog!! But I DO try to add a sprinkling of personal anecdotes every now and then…I know we all enjoy the occasional glimpse behind the scenes, too!! XOXO

FEEL BETTER, lovey!!! Sorry to hear you're down with the bug, we've been fighting it off all week – it's definitley going around. And I must say, this outfit is magnificent!! Has just the right amount of edge. Love, love it! As for extra posts?! I love recipes, beauty tips, life style tid-bits, home decor… or whatever other passions you may have. Always fun getting to know your favourite bloggers better!! xoxo

Thank goodness that I DO feel better, dearest Veronika…sleep, sleep, and more sleep was obviously just what the doctor ordered!! (Unfortunately, after all that lovely rest, I had a minor set-back when I took some cough medicine that kept me up the ENTIRE night!! Not fun!!) As for that blog "backup plan?!" I think a home decor post might be the safest bet if an outfit post ever couldn't happen; because I'll be honest…cooking is not exactly one of my strengths!! πŸ˜‰

I hope you get well soon and wanting to tell you not stress yourself too much with if you can't put an outfit together, it happens to me a lot and i will have to be in the mood to put an outfit together for an outfit post, Nevertheless if you need suggestions for other posts…hum…. you can photograph other stylish people maybe? Latest trends, latest finds, places you go to, your hood, people who inspire you…

    Hope it helps

    Get well

As long as I'm physically able to get dressed, I plan to keep the outfit posts coming, dear Ariane!! πŸ˜‰ Maintaining a photo diary of my looks – and having the opportunity to share them with other fashionistas! – was the whole reason I started my blog, after all!! But I know that I might need another option at some point down the road…so your suggestions are gratefully received!! XOXO

Sorry to hear you are under the weather, I was sick recently as well. At one point I was really dizzy and just had to sit down which gets me to after awhile I too need to be on the move, not a inside person haha. We wish you get better very soon! πŸ™‚

Love your outfit those pants are just amazing and love the design of your shirt πŸ™‚

You can post anything! Most of us love to read anything πŸ™‚ Do you like to do crafts or cook? Love looking at those things as well! But it is all up to you of course πŸ™‚

Dizzy and weak?? We must have had the same nasty bug, because that's exactly how I was feeling…I couldn't even make it to the kitchen for a glass of water!! I'm feeling MUCH better again, though…and hopefully won't need to implement any secondary blog plans for the foreseeable future!! But thanks for the pep talk, dear Kelsey and Kenecha; I DO tend to put a lot of pressure on myself!! XOXO

I hope you feel better very soon. I have been dealing with a respiratory infection for over a week now, so I feel your pain. I enjoy your blog so much and thank you for sharing your hippie-rocker style. If you would be willing to share, I for one would be interested in hearing about your skincare/makeup routine (your skin is beautiful!), and also your diet, recipes, etc. These are just possible suggestions for days you are not able to post outfits.

    • January 12, 2015 / 11:50 pm

It makes me so happy to know that you are enjoying my blog, dear Tamara!! But as far as your respiratory infection goes, that's certainly NOT nice to hear…and I'll bet it's a bit more serious than my regular old pain-in-the-butt cold, too!! Please take good care of yourself!! Outfit posts are definitely my first love, blog-wise; but there's no reason I couldn't squeeze in a few words about some of your suggested topics, as well…thank you for the interest!! P.S. Just so you know…I'm one of those girls who NEVER goes out without her makeup on!! ;D
