Fresh cargo

So, dear readers…after our recent discussion about whether shopping qualifies as a hobby (the consensus? – of course it does!) I know that most of us don’t really need an excuse to indulge!!  But isn’t it nice to have a legitimate reason every once in a while?!

Like when I pulled out my military-inspired pants last weekend as an outfit possibility…and discovered that they were way too big!!  I guess that all my evenings with my hands busy at the keyboard – instead of in the cookie jar! – have had a bit of a “side effect”!!

I’m absolutely not mentioning that I might have over-compensated by purchasing not one, but two pairs of replacement cargos (oops!)…because today I just want to focus on this awesome “skinny” version that I found on sale at Aritzia!!  I couldn’t resist staying with the theme by debuting them with a camo-patterned tank; and then I girl-ified the whole look with some high heels and this drapey, mustard-coloured cardi …which, ahem, is also new!!

And speaking of new, little “Wolfie” already seems to be feeling quite at home with us!!  He’s navigating around our condo remarkably well considering his blindness…and he and Badger are slowly getting acquainted.  Hopefully, best friends in the making!!  πŸ™‚

I'd never want to put myself into a "box" when it comes to personal style, dearest Kelsey and Kenecha…but way down deep, I'll always be a "jeans and sweater" kind of girl!! P.S. We have a Wolfie photo session planned for this weekend!! XOXO

Wish I would drop some pounds typing on the keyboard! πŸ˜‰ Great cargos and the mustard is totally cool with them. Glad Wolfie is settling in. It always takes a while for everyone to adjust.

You have a FAB figure, dearest Dawn…dropping pounds is definitely not needed!! (For the record, I didn't think that I did, either…but with my hands otherwise occupied, I certainly don't have the time for very much snacking!!) And yay!! Badger and Wolfie have started "hanging out" together!! πŸ˜€

Hi Monika, lol at your hobby. Isn't that every girl's hobby? And if you loose a few pounds the only sensible thing to do is to find something that fits. Love the outfit and how you've girlified it. FABULOUS!!!

I love a tomboyish look, dearest Elsie…as long as it's not TOO tomboyish!! And I think the pretty drape of my new cardi – plus the heels! – definitely keep this look on the feminine side of the scale!! XOXO

I LOVE Aritzia, it's my new favorite store. I just recently bought 2 colors in the Kent blazer. My new addiction. I just love your mustard sweater here too!

Aritzia is a Vancouver-based company, dearest Joni…but I'm embarrassed to say that I've only just "discovered" it for myself!! It's definitely going to be one of my regular shopping destinations from now on, though!! πŸ˜‰

Well, it's not like we ever really NEED to justify a shopping trip…but having a "legitimate" reason?? That's serious stuff – and not to be ignored! – am I right, dearest V?! ;D
