Going native: tank dress, cropped cardigan and major accessories!

So our trip to New Brunswick is coming up veeery quickly now – I can’t believe that my hubby and I are on our way next Tuesday! – and I’m starting to panic just a little.  What the heck am I going to pack?!

My sister lives in what I would consider to be the “country;” while I am definitely way more of a city girl…with the wardrobe to match!!  As much as an ensemble like I’m wearing today works for an afternoon spent hanging out at Starbucks here in Vancouver, I’m worried that it might have me looking (and feeling!) a little out of place on the small-town streets of St. Andrews!!

Not to mention my shoe situation!!  My Mom keeps telling me to leave my major heels at home; good advice, I’m sure…but if you’re a regular visitor to my blog, you’ll know that doesn’t leave me with all that many footwear options!!

Will you help me out with some packing advice, dear readers??  What pieces do you recommend I bring along??  Who knows, you might end up seeing your outfit suggestion posted right here a few weeks from now…with a New Brunswick backdrop, of course!!  😉

Packing is always so hard. I say pack a lot of basics but always stay true to yourself don't worry about standing out. I always make sure I pack the things I know I will wear because once you start packing things you are not sure about you have no room left for the things you really want to wear. I also always make sure I pack a few "stand out" looks just for fun 🙂 Hope that helps, probably not because I am the worst at packing too haha 😛

Beautiful look I just love all your belts, where do you get them? x

My biggest issue when travelling is not having access to ALL my things while I'm away; I don't want to take along too many pieces…but what if I change my mind when I get there?! Such a "First World" problem, I know…but it stresses me out!! I really needed your reminder about staying true to my personal style and making sure I bring some favourite things, though, dearest Kelsey and Kenecha; if I do that, I suppose I really can't go too far wrong!! 😉

Sorry Monika I'd be no help. I always over pack, I like you don't like to be without anything. So I take everything!… I always have to pay a surcharge for extra bag allowance when I fly.
P.S you look amazing in that dress. x

I actually like to challenge myself to travel as light as possible, dear Lotty; which is easy enough when you're going to be sitting on the beach in a bikini…but not quite so easy when you might (or might not!) need boots, sweaters, or even a parka!! 😉
