I’m not typically a fan of ruffles or a “mullet” hemline…but when I spotted this geometrically-patterned sundress at a little surfer boutique last summer, it was definitely a case of love at first sight!!
My regular readers might remember seeing the dress last August, when I added some urban edge by styling it with my chain-embellished Michael Kors bag and a pair of cut-out booties. Today, though, I wanted to play off the boho feel of that flouncy, high-low silhouette by wearing it with my favourite floppy hat and some simple thong sandals!!
It’s not very often that you see me wearing flats, is it?? Because I’m a bit “vertically challenged” at only 5’4”, I generally prefer the leg-lengthening effect of high heels with virtually all my outfits; but ever since I broke my foot last summer – and ended up with a DVT – I now actually find wearing flat footwear quite uncomfortable.
Kind of ironic…considering that my accident happened when I stubbled and fell off a pair of heels!!
P.S. I’m super-excited to be taking part in Bloglovin’s current Follower Challenge…so if you like what you see, I’d be so honoured if StyleIsMyPudding earned a regular spot in your Bloglovin feed!!
P.P.S. As always, I’m celebrating the end of the work week by joining the Fun Fashion Friday linkup at Fashion Should Be Fun; hope to see you there!!
