Mechanical: jumpsuit, grommet belt, lace-up heels, and moto jacket

Since I hadn’t worn this sleeveless, workman-style jumpsuit in a while, I decided it was high time to layer it up and let it work a little of its “tomboy” magic for my look today!!

I’ve been a fan of adding a masculine element (or three!) to my sartorial ensembles for years now; but a menswear-inspired look from top to toe à la Diane Keaton?  That’s something I’m not sure I’ll ever be completely comfortable with…even if my personal style motto is “never say never!!”

Which is why I almost always end up balancing the boyishness of this type of outfit with something that’s unmistakably feminine…like these edgy but pretty lace-up heels!!  While female mechanics get nothing but respect from me, I don’t want to feel like I’m on break from a shift at the auto body shop when I’m standing in line for my Starbucks!!

Danier moto jacket and pink hair! Now I’m wondering, dear readers…do any of you have an outfit “no no” that supersedes both trends and time??  I hope you’ll take a moment to share the details!!
