Camera ready: vegan leather leggings, shawl collar blazer, slouchy tee, and cut-out booties

There’s no denying that a DSLR camera – even a “cropped body” version like my hubby and I now own – is a sizeable investment…but boy, does it ever make taking outfit photos a heck of a lot more enjoyable!!

Robin is now able to capture detail in a way that just wasn’t possible with our previous camera; and all the images have a much crisper feel to them.

Plus, we’re finally getting the “bokeh” effect I’ve always coveted…that blurry background that makes the focus of the photo – the outfit! – stand out from the background in the most perfect way!!

If you’re a fellow blogger whose been thinking about upgrading your equipment, let me encourage you to take the plunge.  Like my friend Catherine of Not Dressed As Lamb advises – even hobbyists have more fun when they have the right equipment to play with!!  😉

P.S.  I simply have to point out this brand-new blazer that I found on clearance at H&M just before my trip to Toronto; I’ve never been a “blazer’ kind of girl…but I’m totally in love with this one!!

Monika your photos ARE looking stunning!!!! Aside from the fact that this is a very funky outfit (the leggings/booties combination is fantastic), the bokeh just looks so nice and dreamy… I'm so glad you're enjoying using the DSLR, and thank you for the mention!!

As with anything new, there's always a learning curve, dearest Catherine…but yes!! Robin and I are already quite impressed by the quality of the photos we're getting with this DSLR camera of ours!! And since your blog is my number one source for blogging tips and advice, of course I want to "share the wealth!!" 😀
