Home style: patterned palazzo pants, smock top, striped scarf, and platform slides

It’s been a long time coming, dear readers…but here it finally is!!  The promised photo tour of our beloved outdoor space!!

When Robin and I viewed this condo (which would end up becoming our new home!) for the very first time last summer, the expansive rooftop terrace had us both in awe; we’d never seen such a huge balcony before…except maybe as part of a magazine “dream home” feature!!  ðŸ˜‰

patterned palazzo pants...and morning tea!

There are actually three distinct spaces out here:  a cozy spot under the trellis for enjoying a cup of coffee or tea; a living room area for hanging out with friends – or stretching out for an afternoon nap! – and a dining area that comfortably seats at least six!!

We’re saving a look at the outdoor dining room for later, but other than that??  I’m so happy to be sharing a little bit of “chez Faulkner” with you…and totally on pins and needles waiting to hear your thoughts about our balcony oasis!!

    It's absolutely gorgeous Monika!!
Did you paint it that wonderful blue, or was it already that color?
And the lights you have at the top—so perfect!!
Why go indoors, when you have a space like this??

We'll have to take some photos at dusk, too, dearest Jodie…those Edison lights give our balcony such a cozy glow once the sun goes down!! And the blue walls you're admiring?? That's the cement board that was used to finish the exterior of our top floor suite; pretty "sweet," huh?! 😉

We actually have – for now, at least! – a wooded lot across from us with a peekaboo mountain view, dear Nancy!! I say "for now" because the lot will be cleared at some point for commercial development…which means we lose the trees, but we'll gain an entire mountain panorama!! Not a bad compromise, I'd say!! 😉

Monika I CAN'T. EVEN. BEGIN…!!!!! How utterly gorgeous is this space of yours – it absolutely looks like something out of Elle Decoration!! (do you have that in Canada? Top interiors mag)

The colours (OMG that deep denimy-blue), the patterns, the plants, the lights… It's made me very envious for a balcony space instead of our back garden, to be able to put furniture outside with soft furnishings is almost unheard of in the UK!!

You look stunning as well – the palazzo pants suit it beautifully. Get onto an interiors mag to get it featured PRONTO :))))

I'll be honest, dearest Catherine…all those cozy pillows have spent a LOT of time piled up under our roof overhang this summer because we've had so much rain!! But when the weather is nice, it really is lovely out there…we feel very fortunate!! P.S. I've actually been thinking of sending some photos to Apartment Therapy to see if they'd like to include us in one of their "outdoor spaces" features…you think we'd have a chance, huh?! ;D P.P.S. You are welcome to hang out and enjoy the view any time!! XOXO
