Seeing red: lobster t-shirt, patterned pencil skirt, strappy sandals, and patent yellow bag

This is how a vegetarian does lobster for dinner, dear readers; we don’t eat ’em…we wear ’em!!  😉

Why I was drawn to this particular graphic tee is kind of a mystery; I’m usually very fussy when it comes to “pictures” on my clothes, and it’s not like lobsters are even remotely as cute as French Bulldogs or fluffy kittens…or ferrets, for that matter!!

Maybe it’s because I’ve been valiantly trying to add a touch more colour to my wardrobe choices, and a red crustacean seemed like an interesting way to go…??  In any case, the t-shirt worked so well with this red-patterned pencil skirt I’d also picked up from my favourite shopping haunt (Winners, in case you don’t know by now!) that I felt totally vindicated by my slightly off-beat purchase!!

Have you ever been so captivated by an unexpected piece that you simply had to have it??  Did you end up regretting the buy…or did it surprise you and become a wardrobe hit??  I’m looking forward to hearing your stories!!

I like this outfit! I think it is humorous to be a vegetarian and wear the lobster, but also, it really does work with the skirt.

As to your question, I just ordered a pair of cropped wide-leg jeans and I am hoping this is not a crazy purchase. It might be too "trendy" but I tried on a pair in a store locally, and just loved them. (Had to order a petite size though, as my short legs meant they were not actually properly cropped on me!) I really hope I don't regret this. . .

Trying a new-to-you silhouette is the sartorial equivalent of an adventure, dear Linda…both exciting AND a little scary!! My legs aren't long either, so I face the same challenge when it comes to getting those "cropped" proportions just right; kudos for ordering your pants in a petite version!! XO

This printed tee looks so perfect with the skirt, even though the style is very different. The colors look so great together and I love the pencil skirt on you!
