Ringer: Styling faux-leather jeans, platform harness boots, and a mohair beanie

I gotta say – I’m amazed that I look as “composed” as I do in these photos, dear readers…because I was actually pretty darn upset!!

Not (thank goodness!) that it was terribly serious in the grand scheme of things, but I lost my favourite midi ring just moments before these pics were taken.  It slipped off my finger when I pulled my hand out of my pocket, then bounce, bounce, bounced across the boardwalk…and plopped straight into the murky depths of the Fraser River!!  😞

It was probably my slouchy mohair beanie, vegan leather jeans, and platform harness boots – plus one of my other favourite rings, this peridot beauty! – that saved the day; after all, it’s difficult to feel blue when you’re wearing a combo of some of your fiercest pieces!!

But this particular incident raises the question – how does one make sure a midi ring stays securely above that first knuckle??  I’ve been thinking about a replacement, of course; but I’m worried that any new investment might go missing in a similar fashion.  So if you’ve got ideas, experience, or advice – please share!!

Oh, I've had things like that happen before and it is so disconcerting! I have no idea how to keep one of those rings on. Rings and earrings sometimes have a way of going flying and getting lost. I've even had that happen in my closet! Never found my first peridot ring again, sadly. But yay for outfits cheering one up! And that is a great outfit.

Thanks for linking up to Top of the World Style. I am sorry you lost your midi ring. I have no idea how to secure them except for gluing them to the finger. Not very practical.

You look so amazing, Monika! Whenever I see you I just want to shop with you! Hee! Sorry about your ring. That sucks. I have trouble losing bracelets all the time. I haven't tried a midi ring so when you find out the trick, let us know. Thanks so much for sharing with Fun Fashion Friday! Have a wonderful week!
