Snow job: Styling vegan suede leggings with a striped tee, faux-fur top, and wedge-heeled lace-up booties

These are “before” photos, dear readers, but I’m sure you’ll see the evidence here on the blog soon enough – it snowed in Vancouver!!  😝

If you’re a new visitor (and if the little grimacing emoji isn’t enough of a clue!) then you might not know there’s no love lost between me and the aforementioned white stuff!!  As annoying as winters in the Pacific Northwest tend to be when you’re a personal style blogger – the ridiculously short and often water-logged days can make getting good outfit pics really tough! – adding snow to the mix just seems like one more cruel trick played by the weather gods!!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – while white-capped mountains are the definition of lovely, slushy city streets are not!!  Vancouver snow isn’t the “powdered sugar” of children’s fairytales; it’s wet and heavy and slippery…and it looks dirty almost as soon as it falls.

Plus, it’s pretty hard to deny that winter has arrived when you’re slogging through several inches of snow on the ground.  And I’ll be honest – I like to stay in denial for as looong as possible!!

That furry top is cozy enough to wear without a coat, dear Mary…as long as the temperatures don't dip below freezing!! But now that we've had some snowfall, it may be a while before I can get away without doing an additional layer (or two!!) Thank you so much for visiting!! XO
