Inside job: styling a distress denim jacket with a sequinned tee, faux-fur jacket, and knee boots

I suppose there’s something to be said for all this wintery weather we’ve been having in Vancouver lately…it might just be the perfect time to take care of a few indoor projects that have been niggling at me for a while now!!

There’s still a box or two stacked in the bedroom that have yet to be unpacked (is that bad, considering that Robin and I moved over year ago?)  And my beloved walk-in closet – awesome as it already is! – still needs some finishing details to make it absolutely perfect!!

But since I’m not handy enough to install a new light fixture or extra shelving on my own, that puts a little spousal sweet-talking on the agenda, too.  Come to think of it, I haven’t actually picked out my new light fixture and shelving yet…

So hey there, shopping op!!  While Ikea and Home Depot might not be in quite the same league as Winners and Forever 21, I think I can probably make do…and there’s always next weekend for actually getting my hands dirty, am I right?!  😉

My concern is more one of safety, dearest Jodie – we have 12 foot ceilings, and I don't think ANYONE should be up on a ladder at that height without a spotter!! Women certainly can do anything we set our minds to (in fact, I'm much better at following those Ikea pictograms than my hubby is!) but it's nice to have an extra pair of hands – male or female! – available when tackling home projects, don't you think?! ;D

Wow – you are looking perfect for the weather – we haven't gotten as much but you are reminding me that I need a new pair of black leather boots. #TopoftheWorld
