I know I’ve mentioned it before – thanks to the generally temperate climate of Vancouver, I don’t have what I’d consider to be a “seasonal” wardrobe; with the obvious exception of my woolliest sweaters and warmest coats, I’ll actually wear a lot of my pieces all year long.
And that’s just the way I like it…who wants to wait an entire six months to create an outfit around a favourite tank top or pretty pumps because they won’t “work” for the current weather?? Remember how, because of our uncharacteristically snowy winter, I only had the choice of three or four reasonably suitable pairs of boots to wear from December until now?? That’s my definition of sartorial torture!! 😱
In fact, today I was itching to combine some open-toed wedges with this striped midi skirt (which you last saw as part of a summer outfit!) and plush “teddybear” bomber (one of the few pieces I’d only wear in winter, obviously!) except that our weather forecast once again mentioned the possibility of flurries…
But it didn’t happen. Whew. And so my fingers are tightly crossed that the whole messy situation is now firmly behind us…because I really, really want my year-round wardrobe back!!
