Girl in the hood: Styling striped cropped trousers with a hooded sweater and denim jacket

It’s been a looong time since we’ve had enough daylight left over after one of my hair appointments that Robin and I could also manage to squeeze in a photoshoot afterwards!!

So with this opportunity in mind, we planned our route home through Stanley Park…stopping here at Prospect Point, which looks out over the Lions Gate Bridge and Burrard Inlet.  A quintessential Vancouver view for you, dear readers!!

As far as my look goes, it’s not only my ‘do that’s new today – I’m committing to pink for the time being; it’s just so pretty! – but these striped, cropped trousers and the hoodie sweater, too!!  I’d been keeping my eyes open for a variation on the hoodie trend since the “traditional” athletic style that’s everywhere right now simply doesn’t do it for me; so I was really excited to find this wool-blend hybrid on sale at H&M!!

What I am not excited about??  The fact that I’m still shopping for (and wearing!) cozy sweaters in April!! Yes – the sun shone this weekend, but that darn thermometer just won’t climb high enough to make a “summer’s coming” outfit a reality yet!!  Maybe next weekend…a girl can dream, right?!

Thank you so much, Nancy!! 😀 I can never get my hair looking quite like this when I style it myself – I'm all thumbs when it comes to using a flatiron! – but the colour is here to stay for a while!! XOXO
