Polished: Styling a cold-shoulder sweater with patterned palazzo pants and cut-out booties

I’m wearing something today that I’ve never worn on the blog before, dear readers!!  Any guesses??

If this cold-shoulder sweater looks new to you, I can tell you it is; I actually brought it home way back in the fall…but I’ve been waiting and waiting ever since for the perfect weather (not too warm, not too cold) to debut it. No point in something that shows off your shoulders if you’re going to need to layer it under a coat or jacket to ward off hypothermia, am I right?!  ðŸ˜‰

And while I love today’s combo of sweater, cropped palazzo pants, and open-toed shoes – after all, I gotta get “spring” in there somehow! – for me the most exciting part of this look is my pretty manicure!!  I finally decided to give gel polish a try, since even my best efforts with the regular stuff never stayed chip-free for more than a single day.

I’ve been promised that my bright and shiny nails will stay fresh-looking for two to three weeks…which sounds almost too good to be true!!  We’ll certainly see how things go over the course of the next few blog posts; and in the meantime, perhaps those of you who’ve done gel polish before can let me know how you like it!!

Totally fabulous! The sweater is sexy on you and I love it paired with the palazzo pants and open toe shoes! Gel will really look great for about 2 weeks! My only issue with it is you have to keep going to get it done. If you try to take the polish off yourself, it's a nightmare! But I usually do gel for vacations and the holidays. XOXO

Yeah…I realize I'm in for a bit of manicure maintenance, dearest Dawn!! But my natural nails are so thin and weak, I'm constantly trimming and filing to keep them looking presentable; I think (hope!) it might actually be a treat to go to the salon once every few weeks…instead of "fixing" them myself every couple of days!! ;D
