Those “pool slides” that we’re seeing absolutely everywhere right now?? So not my thing!! 😝
I’m speaking, of course, of the foam rubber footwear variety – although I’m not a big fan of those rollercoaster water park slides either (but that’s another story)!! These wood and leather exercise sandals, on the other hand, have a quirky appeal that I’ve appreciated since I was a teenager.
The zebra-patterned ones I’m showing off today happen to be Floggs, but I own a pair of authentic Dr. Scholl’s, too. My sister and I lived in them during the summer when we were kids…and even my mom and dad wore them!! The anatomical soles are ridiculously comfortable; and – take note, all you sneaker aficionados! – they’ll also “work” with everything from jeans to sundresses!!
Yes, I do almost always opt for heels nowadays…even with my most casual outfits. But these “clogs” – that’s what my family called them – are simply too cute not to get some street-time every once in a while. And seriously, what could be easier for summer than shoes that don’t require any buckling or lacing…and that don’t look like something you grabbed from a dollar store?? 😉
