Plush crush: faux-fur top layered over a sheer floral tee, with camo pants and ivory ankle boots

When is a jacket not really a jacket??  When it’s actually a faux-fur pullover, of course!!

We’ve been super lucky so far with our autumn here in Vancouver  – if you follow me on Instagram, you’ll see that Robin and I even managed another weekend of “top down” cruising in our convertible! – which means I’m having plenty of opportunity to style pieces like this plush H&M top that I brought home a few seasons ago.

I really love me some fun faux fur…but our typically rainy fall and winter (and often spring, too!) can make it challenging to pull off without looking like a drowned rat.  No need to forego the furry stuff when the weather’s like this, though!!  And once it starts getting wet out there, my ivory booties won’t be coming out to play anymore either; which only made the chance to wear them today that much sweeter!!

Fingers crossed that this favourable sartorial situation continues as long as possible, because – let’s be honest! – creating a cute outfit is way more satisfying when it actually gets to go “out and about”…without the need to hide under an umbrella or duck under an awning!! 😁

I love the boots and the blouse and I think that sweater will transition nicely to the worse weather. I can see that with jeans and some funky boots for a casual dinner out.

The end of warm sunny weather does limit the sartorial choices. I have more skirts than I can possibly wear in a NY winter. *brrrrr*
