Focused: leopard-sleeved moto jacket, sequinned sweater, skinny jeans, suede booties

In this wonderful world of personal style blogging, I find there’s always chatter about creating your own little “niche”; apparently, the narrower your focus, the better it is in the long run for developing an online community that knows exactly what you’re all about and that shares your – very specific – interest.

If that’s the case, then I’m happy to say that I’ve been right on the money from Day One!  I’ve never wavered from my goal of providing outfit inspiration – and only outfit inspiration – for my visitors; I don’t give advice on creating capsule wardrobes (omg – I can’t imagine being restricted to just 10 pieces for an entire season!) or about wearing what’s deemed flattering for different “body types” (who cares – shouldn’t getting dressed be about what makes you feel good?)

And you certainly won’t find recipes or home organization tips around here; there’s plenty of amazing cooking and “lifestyle” websites out there to cover all those bases.  Personally?  When I visit a blog expecting to oogle a LOTD and get how-to’s for the latest smoothie craze or the ultimate closet clean-out instead, I’m always a bit disappointed.

So, dear readers – here’s my promise.  You can always rely on me to give you fresh outfit ideas (usually with a bit of an edgy twist!) to get your own wardrobe styling juices flowing.  StyleIsMyPudding – your personal style inspiration destination.  Kinda has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?!  😉

That’s why I keep two blogs. One is for cooking and one is for everything else that pops into my head (although I admit that goes from politics, to fashion, to fitness, to any silly thought I suddenly have, so it’s hardly niche). I know what you mean about bloggers who go off the rails. Plenty of style blogs I follow (or semi-follow) will suddenly go into posts about fitness (I have a workout routine already) or skin care and makeup that are often product shills. That’s not very inspiring!

    Love the boots!

Sometimes I feel like I barely have time to keep my one site going, dear Rachel…so kudos to you for keeping two!! 👍 And hey – in the end, our blogs are our own, to do with as we wish. I’m sure there are plenty of readers out there who like a “one stop shop” that covers everything from cooking a casserole to dressing for a date to applying the perfect smokey eye makeup!! 😊
