My hubby and I enjoyed what might just have been our best St. Patrick’s Day ever, dear readers…and it didn’t involve parties, Irish pubs, drinking beer, or wearing green. How could that possibly happen, you ask?? We put our Solstice back on the road for the season – woohoo!!
We’d actually been debating for a while over the right time to make the swap from our winter vehicle back to our summer ride, considering all the snow we’d dealt with in March last year. The Easter long weekend seemed like a pretty safe bet…but with the forecast looking so promising for Saturday, we decided we didn’t want to wait any longer. And even though the weather isn’t expected to be quite as nice for the next few days, we don’t regret our choice one bit. How could we?? We had even the top down for the entire afternoon!!
So I obviously couldn’t say no to sharing the photoshoot spotlight with our little rocket…even though it was my freshly done ‘do that was originally supposed to be the star of the show!! Robin picked me up from my salon appointment with the car waxed and polished and in convertible mode; and even though I didn’t have a hat with me – usually non-negotiable for a “topless” ride! – the opportunity was simply too sweet to resist. I didn’t even complain (too much) about the fact that my artfully styled hair was going to be a tangled mess when we got home!! 😉
And aside from the lack of a hat, my outfit was totally made for our impromptu excursion…don’t you agree?? Nothing suits time on the road quite like jeans, a comfy knit, and some really cool footwear. That oversized sweater is a brand-new find from H&M’s clearance sale – yep, I’ve broken my shopping “fast” – and with “frontier style” influences going strong for SS18, I have a feeling you’ll be seeing a lot of my fringy suede boots in the upcoming months. Ride ’em cowgirl!! 😁
