Week/end: layered tank dress and mesh skirt with cut-out booties and a straw fedora

Gonna keep things a little shorter today, dear readers!!  I’ve had a crazy-busy couple of weeks at the veterinary clinic…and honestly??  I don’t have the energy to do much more than just post pics right now!!

But so far I have managed to stay true to the promise I made on Monday to enjoy every last drop of our remaining summer; Robin and I had friends over a few nights ago for wine and cheese out on our terrace; and with no pressure to pull off an entire dinner on a work-night, it ended up being a relaxing evening of laughter, catching up…and plans to do it again really soon.

And of course we hopped in the Solstice and went on another mini road-trip this past weekend!!  We ended up crossing the border to La Conner, Washington…which happens to be the “sister city” to our own town of White Rock (south of Vancouver).  La Conner is probably best known for playing host to a spectacular Tulip Festival every spring, but it also boasts a lovely heritage waterfront lined with all kinds of interesting boutiques and tempting restaurants; in other words, a worthwhile spot to while away a hot and hazy afternoon. 😁

And hallelujah – now there’s a new weekend waiting for us right around the corner…albeit one that we haven’t (yet!) made any plans for.  Have you??  I’d love to hear how you’ll be spending it!!

We just made a appointment with friends to play a board game tomorrow evening at their place! Furthermore no plans! Love that because Gerben has starded a new job and is very busy. Enjoy your weekend!
